Quick cashback Q - per item or transaction?

Hey all,
Have just gotten a barclaycard "high 5" card due to coming spends and desire to get on the cashback wagon
My question is likely an easy one but can't find the info anywhere - I have the 6% bonus cashback on the "highest 5 purchases" for the first 3m. Is this per item, or simply the amount charged to the card?
Ie if I am going to spend a large sum of money soon (ikea visit), is it best to split into 4-5 visits in order to max out the cashback?
Cheers!

It'll be the amount charged to the card for your five biggest purchases. So whatever the top 5 transactions are, you'll get bonus cashback each month for the first 3 months (as far as I can see).0

Can't see why it's not best to combine as much as possible into one transaction. Stock up on meatballs while you're at Ikea."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0
