Quick Q regarding 123 account

My husband has just opened 2 Santander 123 accounts as we had £40,000 to put in them. In one he will have his wages as the external payment but the other one I will be transferring £500 every month via my Barclays account. I'm assuming this would also be classed as an external transfer?

    Yes it would, but remember they don't work to 'calendar' months...it's a 'billing' month.
