Calls about accident compensation

Hi,
I was in a 2 mph collision in 2011. The party whose car I 'touched' claimed for a bumper repair, but I didn't need any repairs & made no claim myself. Nobody was the slightest bit hurt. The incident affected my no claims bonus, but I thought that was the end of it ......... until last December, when I started receiving phone calls at work asking me to let the caller claim compensation for my injuries.
Now, since December I've received well over 100 such calls, and it is a significant interruption to my concentration at work, as well as very irritating. My office number has been registered for several years with the TPS, so I shouldn't get any sales calls etc. I pursued the matter with one caller, who told me the name of the data company who sold them my information. This data company advised that they received my information from one of the insurers involved with the case.
My insurer insists that they do not give out such information, and they don't have my office phone number on file anyway. I did give my office number to the other party in the accident, and they have passed it on to their insurers. These insurers also deny passing on any data. However there is no other source for someone who knows details about the accident, my name & my office number.
I am proposing to claim compensation / damages / whatever suitable legal claim I have for these calls. I am registered with the TPS to avoid just such calls. If the insurers continue to deny liability for giving away my data, I plan to file with the Small Claims Court.
It's about time these companies were called to task for their intrusion into our lives. Does anyone have experience or views on the merits of such a claim?
Many thanks from a newby!

The only details they have for your accident are probably details you have given them yourself. These scum do not ring accident victims - they ring anyone. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0

Exactly - they random dial or dial a list of known numbers (of just anyone) and offer compensation for an accident you had...most people haven't had an accident and tell them so, or just tell them to !!!!!! off, but enough people fall for it and give them details etc to make it worth their while.
I have never had a car accident or injury that was the fault of someone else and I still get these calls on a fairly regular basis. I used to just tell them to s*d off, but now I sometimes enjoy wasting their time a little bitCommon sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
You've suffered no loss from taking the calls ergo are due no compensation.
I've never taken out a loan or had a car accident yet regularly get calls from these muppets telling me I am due squillions due to my past behavior!Thinking critically since 1996....0
