Investment guarantees

Does the Government guarantee £85,000 invested with a Credit Union the same way it does with money invested in ordinary banks?

    It is not actually a Govt guarantee. It is an industry guarantee. The Govt will just lend funds on commercial terms should the compensation fund need it. The surviving financial firms pay the money to fund it.
