What can I do to push things along?

I'm in to week 10 of my house selling/ buying ordeal, my solicitor said yesterday that it was all pretty wrapped up apart from a couple of outstanding enquiries.
I am going away in two weeks and she said it is doable to complete before I go
I text my buyer this and he just said he would call his solicitor for an update ( I think he needs to be getting his finger out and be more proactive like me).
Speaking to my vendor yesterday, she said I should use the fact I am going away soon to my advantage, to put the ball in his court if he wants to move ASAP.
Trouble is, he goes away when I get back, so to wait would add another 4-6 weeks on.
What can I say to buyer to get his backside in to gear and chase his solicitor?

find out what the queries are, and discuss with your vendor
    sometimes its simple yes/no queries
sometimes it can be more challenging (covenant on the deed requiring further digging...etc)

nothing that cant be accelerated though - just setup indemnity policies at your vendors cost, or your's if you want it really that bad (should be 100-300quid extra)

no way to find out how fast it can be closed without knowing what the queries are.
Your solicitor should email you what they have sent the other party.
