Can anyone give me some idea about how could I organise for 2 cats to be transported from Cumbria to London at the lowest possible cost?
I do not drive myself, will need to use a courier possibly.
Absolutely no idea about what the cost may be...
Any pointers?
(train is not ao option)

Try http://www.petslocally.co.uk/yorkshire-and-the-humber/pet-transport - there's several companies on there that might have what you need. I like the look of these http://www.petcarecourierservice.com/services.html - they do transport on distance and will be easy to get a quote from. Good luck0

Why is the train not an option? Time?0

I don't know whether they could help you but a number of rescues have transport links available to them. Volunteers who transport animals up and down the country. Sometimes free other times petrol costs are paid. They may be able to help and you could make a donation to the rescue. One that comes to mind is many tears, they are on facebook and seem very well run.0

Thanks, did not think about that...0

 Oh lordy ..... sorry no suggestions from me - I was thinking of the rescues that janeys suggested - the problem for me with this, is that it's rarely one person the whole journey and I'd personally not be that keen on them being transferred from car - car - car as it would stress my 2 out.:(Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Whereabouts in cumbria as it is a pretty big area? I live in northeast so could maybe help. If I was off work could drive them to say leeds area or maybe further down (would have to look at the map) if you could get someone to drive you up that far?
Don't want any money or anything by the way.
(I come onto this on my mobile when at home which is always freezing, but usually check in when at work when I can for a quick "snoop" around the site.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
