I just got Travel insurance for my Mum to Spain.
Although limited to Civil servants (and ex civil servants)

Travel insurance was significantly cheaper than all options on you page... but I don't think they have an affiliate program.

Problem with the online policy is that no pre-existing conditions are covered and I would wonder how many 80 year olds have no conditions at all.

Hi - Eurotunnel do a single trip policy with no upper age limit and you don't have to travel with them, so may be worth giving them a call.

I have just got travel insurance for £50 for my 91 year old mum. In November last year Nationwide changed the conditions for their older customers and since then, providing you meet the requirements (at least £750 a month going into your Flexaccount), older customers can upgrade (what other customers get for free) for £50. That is annual cover and obviously you would have had to check all the terms and conditions to see if it is what you want. For an additional £120 she could have her pre-exisiting medical conditions covered. Pretty good I think if you are a Nationwide customer.
