Lightworks 11.0.3 won't startup!

I've installed Lightworks 11.0.3 onto a Windows XP machine and when I click it;it comes up with a Lightworks box and Loading then checking DLL versions and it doesn't come on with the program for videoediting as it should. I have installed Apple Quicktime 7.7 as the program requires and it STILL doesn't play ball by loading up and appearing onscreen when you double click the program icon on your desktop! What's up?

I know this might sound crazy but did you re-boot your PC after installation?Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them!0

I've just found out that Lightworks 11.0.3 has known compatibility issues with Windows XP. It seems to work for some but not others.
Make sure that when you launch it you run at as an Administrator. This has worked for the majority of people with the same problem. It allows Lightworks to get certain permissions in order to complete the installation process.Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them!0 -
Definitely known issues with Win XP. I had to re-install my version 11.0.2 after updating some generic Windows XP drivers and DLL files. If I find the thread I followed I'll post the link.It's only rock 'n' roll, but I like it.0
