Need to grab Picasa pic, not the one in My Pictures

I can't get my head round this.
Photographs when imported, go to My Pictures. I have Picasa on my laptop and view make changes there. On an airiel shot of our area, I place a star or circle.
Via Imageshack or Photombucket, my aim is to get the url so that I can bring the pic to a forum. However when I browse to grab the picture, the star or circle is absent, because the photo has been picked up from My Pictures.
How is it possible when going through the Browse procedures to grab the changed photo please.

You need to export the image to another folder (Select it and click the "Export" button).
The exported image will contain all the changes/edits/stars/circles you add and that's the one you should upload to Photobucket etc.
If you were to use Google web albums instead (via the "Share" button), Picasa automatically uploads the modified images.
Picasa doesn't normally modify the original image (unless you specifically tell it to).0 -
Will try all this later today, thanks again. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

This has been quite an adventure but success at the end. For whatever reason, both photobucket and imageshack I couldn't get on with, they've changed a lot over the years (imo), then I tried your suggestions and have to admit getting stuck.
I resorted to googleing and came up with https://www.picmonkey.com this is something that requires no registration and no fee.
Once on their home page clic on Edit a photo>open>select and click on desired photo>share>do it>then an url or link appears, then copy and paste it. Give it a try, it's so simple even I can do it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
