Canon Camera Ixus/Powershot help

Hi all,

I'm desperately on the hunt for a good camera for my travels to the States this summer, and was planning to take videos for the journey. After working out my budget (about £200), I found that many camcorders are pretty basic and are outperformed by DSLRs and some Compact cameras. I've finally singled one out though, due to seeing many people on YouTube use this camera for their vlogging.

My question is, the camera I want is the "Canon Powershot ELPH 110 HS", however they don't sell it here in the UK, and some websites say it is the exact same as the "Canon IXUS 125 HS"

The problem is, is that I thought the IXUS line and Powershot line focus of two different aspects/end users, so can anyone clarify if these are the same?

I also wanted to know which camera is the successor to that camera, since there are so many models with higher numbers (e.g 135, 240, 230, 500 etc), but some of them are previous models.

Yes the Powershot ELPH 110 HS is the same as the IXUS 125HS in the UK.

However, I noticed that it's quite old now, and was wondering if someone could tell me which model is the successor to it? I've found theres the 135 or 140 etc, but these seem to be worse cameras with varying features (much worse than the 125), so I was wondering which model is the next up from the IXUS 125?
