I have seen that Barclay Card Platinum offer 0% on purchase for 14 Months.
I already have Barclay Platinum that I hardly use as I have other credit cards which offer much perks such as cash back, etc. But after I found that article about Barclay Platinum, I am interested to know
1. Whether I could re-designate, refresh (or whatever people call it) my Barclay Platinum to get 0% on purchase. Has anyone done this or do you have any suggestion how could I get 0% on purchase on my existing credit Barclay Platinum ?
2. Another alternative is to use this tricks

Example:
3. The last resort, I am considering to cancel my current Barclay Platinum it and then reapply again, but I am just thinking that this will be riskier as there will be another credit check, what is your opinion about this ?
Thank you for your time.

Example:
- Current debts: Louiscard £3,000 at 18%, Cherylcard £1,000 at 16%.
- New credit: The Danniicard's 0% for 12 months on balance transfers.
- What happens: Ask the Danniicard to balance transfer the debts. It then pays £3,000 to the Louiscard and £1,000 to the Cherylcard.
- New situation: The Louis and Cherylcards are debt-free, as the debt has been transferred to the Danniicard; to which you now own £4,000 at 0%.

I think theres a time rule for new customers.
Give them a call and explain to their retentions that your considering going elsewhere to get a purchase deal. See if there's anything they will offer you and you may even get 50 quid to stay if that fails.0
