Travel insurance after 5 years clear of cancer

Is pre-existing medical condition travel insurance still needed after 5 years clear of cancer, and discharge from the hospital?

When I completed an application online today for a quote, the answers to the medical questions were all "no", so is standard travel insurance now acceptable?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi
I work for Swinton Insurance and we sell travel insurance. When going through the medical questionnaire, if all of the questions are answered as no, then this means that the company that you are quoting with are happy to cover the risk that you are presenting to them. May be worth speaking to a broker as opposed to doing the Insurance online as this means that you can physically tell the broker that you have had cancer. They will then refer to the insurance company who will come back and say that as long as the medical questionnaire has been completed honestly then you are covered. With this you will have a reference from the insurance company as well as the person on the phone with a call recording to back up if anything was to happen linked with your previous medical condition.
    Hope this helps you
