General admission tickets...thrown out!

Hi folks, first time on here via a recommendation that you're all geniuses!.... so please be gentle..

Basically, I ordered 4 tickets for the Stone Roses gig on Fri 7th June from Ticketline the morning they came out. They duly arrived by recorded delivery, no dramas.

I went to find them this weekend, but alas it would very much appear that at some point since January I've thrown them out (along with, of all things, the deeds to my house!!)

First call was to Halifax home insurance, no dice there, am not covered for concert tickets. Phoned Ticketline yesterday, thinking they could cancel the barcodes and send new ones. Again, I was disappointed. They said they could only do that for seated tickets, not general admission ones. Went on to the promoters (SJM) website to see if there was any point in appealing to them but it actually states in black and white that they won't do this.

Sooo....is there anything I can do?.....I didn't pay form them with a credit card either, schoolboy error.

I think you're stuffed, sorry! That is why they rarely send them out early as they cannot be replaced. If you've definitely definitely lost them you could try pleading with ticket line again- you may get a sympathetic ear, but they generally won't back down on this. Failing that check eBay and ticket sale sites a few days before as often they drop in price if you are prepared to wait. Means spending more money though unfortunately.....

A few years back, a royal mail van was robbed with 4000 FA CUP FINAL tickets in. The FA refused to reprint them - and some of us could not go. We did get out money back - but wanted tickets.

You would think cancelling/replacing, even for a small fee, would be easy in this day and age.

This wouldn't generally help, a Section 75 claim could be made if the seller had not kept their part of the contract - sending you the tickets - but in this case they had.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.
