??? Does anyone know where I can find out which cars have the cheapest motor insurance group? When I ask insurance companies they ask me which car do I want it for (stupid or what???) I want to buy the most basic of vehicles to drive around in and to give my grown up children, driving practice.

There is a guide called parkers guide which gives values and insurance groups for all models.

You can get their guide at a decent newsagents.

They also have a website (sorry I don't know the address but I'm sure you can find it ith a quick google).
It will probably cost something to use it and the guide would be about a £5 from the newsagents.

I don't know if there is a free way.

https://www.parkers.co.uk has a brilliant insurance guide ... you can either put in make of car to find its' group or ...which you wil like..... you can look by insurance group and it lists all cars in each group.

What then totally confuses me is talking recently to my local swinton guy he says that every insurance company has their own rating system ?????????
