aM A 73 YR OLD WIDOW, LOCKED IN A BATTLE WITH A COMPANY WHO INSTALLED A CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEM WHICH WOULD " SAVE YOU MONEY" Currently from 15.1.13 to 5.5.13 I have an electricity bill of £430 despite being absent from the property for 37 days, and prior to that living in one room with one rad being used.
HAS ANYONE HAD ANY DEALINGS WITH
SUNFLOW LTD., of Royal Wootton Basset, suppliers of this "programmable, thermostatically controlled " heating radiators.
If anyone has any contact with the company, or had in the past, can they confirm.
Many thanks HERYETGIRL

Looking at their website they boast of savings when using Economy7 - being a super cheap night time tariff. Not all households have it.
Not taken a major look at their website, but I suspect they are storage heaters. And do cost an absolute fortune. We had them in a property a few years ago - first quarterly bill about £600!! Never turned them on again!0 -
Thanks for that input. The heaters are storage heaters, but the difference toi E.7 is that these are activated during the day. I was told if turned on an hour before using a room, they would make the room usable.
Also they are individually timed The selling points I was given were that I would no longer need E.7, no need to have heaters on all night, just an hour before you need them ! Some hope,
The fact that they were controllable whereas E7 meant you have to be 12 hours ahead of yourself in timing, these would " save money " and I would be "switching heaters off - too warm " Again some hope.
Have asked company to remove heaters ( 8) and refund my money £7,174 !!!) since I maintain I was mis-sold this system. Yet again Some Hope.
Anyone else had the same problem ?
Thanks0 -

They sell thermostatically controlled electric oil filled/convector heaters operated at peak day rate.
To use them you must change from an E7 tariff to a standard tariff or they will be very expensive to run.
To get your money back you will have to take them to court. Good luck.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
