cauliflower cheese with frozen cauliflower?

Has anyone ever successfully made cauliflower cheese using frozen cauliflower?

I do make it with fresh cauli. and freeze portions but wondered if it is possible using frozen? I have tried it but despite making sauce a bit thicker than normal it was still "soggy".

    frozen cauliflower is very watery.. personally I wouldn't because of this.

    I have tried it but never with any success. I think the only way round it would be to cook the frozen cauli and sauce separately and mix just before putting on the plate - not the same I know.

    I have never thought of using fresh cauli and then freezing, does it go watery when you re-heat it?

    I steam frozen cauliflower until just cooked, then leave it to stand so that the water drains/steams away. Make the sauce, pour over the cauliflower and top with more cheese, then under a hot grill.

    It's not watery if done this way.

    I have not had a problem with making it with fresh cauli. then freezing - it's better than the frozen ping ones from supermarket. Just sometimes I really fancy c/cheese and only have frozen cauli. Need a bit more experimenting.

    This is what I do aswell, then I top with crispy onion.

    Yes - but mostly with cauli I have frozen myself. I know it has only been blanched for a two minutes so know to only cook for about 6 - 8 mins depending on the size of the florets. I then let it drain while I make the sauce.
    When using a supermarket frozen cauli I just cook the florets till defrosted. Then let drain - they will then cook in the sauce without disintegrating.

    I make a lot of caulflower cheese love the stuff if I can't get fresh callies or they are to expensive I use frozen callie just bring it to the boil and drain pour over the cheese sauce and cook for approx 30 to 45 mins.
