Hi all,
Apologies, reposting as I put on the wrong board! :rotfl:
This is my first time posting and first time house buying too so please excuse my ignorance!
We made an offer on a property in Yorkshire on Monday (the bank holiday) and I still haven't heard anything. When I placed the offer the EA told me that they would call the vendor but the office was only open until 2pm so if she didn't get back to me that day she'd get back to me the next day (Tuesday) but I've not heard anything. My question is should I phone the agent and check they've actually passed on my offer to the vendor?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting an extremely quick response from the vendor but I suppose I'd like assurance that the offer was passed on even though we placed it on a bank holiday Monday.
The house is on the market for £114,950 and we've offered £100,000 as the opening offer. We're FTB's with a MIP secured so we're ready to go (hence the cheeky opening offer
).
I don't want to seem like I'm desperate to get the house but just want reassurance it's been put to the vendor.
Thanks in advance

this happens all the time because EA's are often lazy a**holes (or just a**holes, full-stop).
At this juncture, it doesn't really matter if you appear desperate - just call them, ask to speak to the manager, find out what is happening with your offer and book a couple of viewings of other properties...0
