Lloyds to Halifax balance transfer?

Has anyone transferred a balance from Lloyds to Halifax? I know you can't go from Halifax to Lloyds, but the Halifax website says

Balance transfers can be made from most credit and some store cards, excluding other Halifax or Bank of Scotland products.

A bit surprised that it would be allowed in one direction but not the other..

The confirmation you seek will be found on the LTSB website's credit card section (which is probably where zerog got it from).

Well I have just made a balance transfer from Halifax Plat card to my Lloyds Plat card - 15 month interst free with a 3% transfer fee.

I have had the card for a couple of years now if that makes a difference.
The lady on the phone who took the details from me confirmed it was a Halifax card I was paying off but said nothing about both cards being Lloyds banking group cards.
Maybe I was lucky!

Yep, Lloyds to Halifax works as well, I did it last month.

I see both of those cards are Mastercard, is it possible to transfer between 2 cards underwritten by the same?

MasterCard don't underwrite cards.

Bank of Scotland will issue Halifax cards.
Lloyds Bank will issue Lloyds cards.
