Steganos. It's exactly the same as kasperky but it's cheaper.Come on you Irons0

I've been using Kaspersky Internet Security for a year now and I'm more than happy with it (antivirus, firewall, ad-blocker, popupblocker etc).
Nod is also a great antivirus, but I dont like its GUI (General User Interface) and it also lacks a behavior-blocker (additional layer of protection, which makes a huge difference in detection rates of undetected malicious files, which Kaspersky has).
As Zinger549 said, Steganos is the same, but cheaper... not sure about support of the product or upgrades... Kaspersky will release Version 7 in a few days (which has a new heuristic engine) and don't know if Steganos will also have it as a free upgrade or not.
I recommend you test a few AVs out in advanced (one at a time) and then purchase the one you like best.0 -
AVS (active virus shield)
although sponsored by AOL it uses Kaspersky virus definitions and is also FREE.0 -
Nod32
Very effective and does not drain system resources unlike alot of others.0 -
I use Symantec AntiVirus 10.1.4 Corporate.
Never had a problem.0 -
Having used Symantec and McAfee is the past I recently moved over to Avast and haven't looked back.
No problems installing or living with it, and it updates regularly.
I would recommend it.Keep smiling,

Another vote for NOD. If you are not a fan of the current GUI then they have a friendly looking interface on public beta.
The official NOD forum is here0 -
Another vote for Kaspersky.
I do find their Office Guard a damned annoyance, though, as it kicks in evertime I try to run a macro, which then stops the macro.
I have, therefore, gone for AOL's version using the Kaspersky engine and definitions and is FREE.0 -
I haven't used it myself but Comodo now offer anti virus (beta), anti spyware and anti spam as well as their great free firewall
