There's usually a time limit on 0% balance transfers, e.g. 3 months from date of opening.Foonkysteve wrote: »If i didn't want to pay the minimum each month, I would then need another card (maybe Barclaycard) with a 0% balance transfer, to clear the cash transfer card, but the balance transfer would incur another 3% transfer fee.
And there may be a minimum fee for each transfer.
I've been paying off my Aqua cashback card with low-fee BTs - seems a shame to waste a good debt - but I've had to get 3 new cards."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. OK... try here: http://fluid.co.uk/ Fluid is an MBNA-provided card and has 24 months interest free. Checks are 'soft searches' in the first place so basically it checks your credit file to see how like you are to get the card. HOWEVER, It's not a full check so no maker is left on your file. Of course, if you then select 'fully apply' or whatever the option is after the 'soft search' you are having a recorded credit check done.
But basically you get to see how likely you are to get the card and if it's not looking good then no harm done!

Thanks y'all!
I got approved for the card last night. Woohoo!
I got a little more than the transfer amount i was after which is great. But im sticking to £5000max budget. Got 2 years to pay it off now, minimum payments should be just over £50 per month as it's apparently 1%. We're not planning on taking 24months to pay it, but it's good to know we have more time if we need it.
Thanks again to all for your advice. Glad i came on here to ask.0
