holiday season is coming . If you need portable speakers , i spotted this deal on Amazon. Previously sold at £59.99 now came down to £14.95 . it has really good sound quality and really loud aswell. I am not allowed to post links as i m a new member so if you search on Amazon for " betron bluetooth speaker " you can find the product. Also non bluetooth version is available for £8.99 which has some great reviews.

when you say good what did you compare it with? My iphone sounds good but the sound quality and loudness is nowhere near this. also check the features such as bluetooth, extension cable, higher capacity battery etc. i think before you say good you should try the one i mentioned or XMINI speakers.

This is an interesting area, I too want a bluetooth speaker, but maybe a little better than this one (kids have wired Veho 360 that look similar to OP's one, but they aren't that great, fine for them though !). Less tinny, more bass would be good
Any recommendations? Looking to spend say £25-30.

i dont think you can get much bass from small devices like these. I think jawbone ones are pretty good but they are around £100 , there is xmini rai and they are around £60 which is very similar to Betron one i mentioned. there is another model betron speaker on Amazon for £25 .i have not tried it so i cant say if it has good bass but it has a bass speaker in the middle which i assume you get a bit more bass. it has 2 x 40mm speaker and a bass speaker in middle ( check the customer images), it also has a microphone which might become useful if you want to make or receive calls. if you write betron bluetooth speaker on amazon search it is the red one. i hope that helps jimjam10 .

Bought 3 of these for the family and they are amazing value for money - and also sound excellent. Why spend more if you don't have to?
