yes indeed they do that and it does not leave a footprint. Barclays confirmed that to me when they lowered my credit limit and i queried them how they do that. They query files every 6 months and if they find a lot of unused credit limits or abused credit limits they decrease your limits.
I have alot of unused credit available from other credit card companys but this did not stop Barclaycard increasing my limit a few weeks ago.0 -
i have had a barclaycard for just 10 days now ,ive used it twice and today i logged into my account to find that my limit has been reduced by 2/3rds of what it was(ive used £200, limit was £1500 now £500), ive not had any letter ,phonecall, or anything to indicate why this has happened i have just called them with no success as i cant understand what there adviser was saying so i have emailed asking why this has happened, anyone had this happen after just 10 days of having a card0
