A fool and his money are soon parted. These words have been true in the past, they are true now and they will be true in the future. The many simple folk of this country will always need some distraction to pass the time, just let them get on with it instead of trying to help. The end result will be the same anyway.0

I find it all rather bizarre really.
KK's problems were down to an inability to manage money on a grand scale. Most of those targeted by this ad must surely realise that if they had even a fraction of her income they wouldn't need to be chasing loans simply to make ends meet.
Just one example of quite how screwed up the 'celebrity culture' has become...0 -
What needs to be looked at, is the general ads during the day.
Most of the morning ones seem to be regarding gambling on bingo/casino sites and payday loans and other type of high interest loans.
If we are going to insist on continuing to turn this country into a complete nanny state, then restrictions such as the amount of these types of ads or the time the ads can be broadcast should be implemented.
At the moment, your average bored house person/unemployed person, is constantly being encourage to gamble or take out a loan, they will never be able to pay back.
Encouraged to get a loan to go gambling....
*brilliant idea, why doesn't the gambling site allow people to bet on credit (theirs)!!!I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.
Don't rely on anything I write as it may be wrong!!!0 -

As Kerry is endorsing the product then wouldn't it be good if she became liable for it!0

I don't have a problem with PDL's advertising but I do have a problem with the way in which they are portrayed...
It's all about ease of access and how quick you can have it and what wonderful things you can do with the money as it's all yours! You'd think you were buying a chocolate bar not a high interest short term loan that you will be hounded for if you fail to repay - that's right, it's not free and you have to repay it!
Advertising should be less glam, do they really need celebs? It's a service not a lifestyle option...
I also hate ad's for gambling sites - as a recovering addict these ad's make me feel ill from a combination of wanting to play and knowing that a lot of my problems stem from what they are selling!
We don't need a nanny state, what we need to do is focus on making people realise their responsibility and the potential outcome of the choices which they make in black and white.
I'm a former bankrupt, never learned from my mistakes, now in debt and a recovering gambling addict - basically a total screw up lol but now I can see what I've been doing wrong and am on the right path to recovery :-)

The ad in question has just been on while I was reading this thread. Didn't look very banned to me!Getting married 02.08.14
Wins for the wedding: membership for a 'wedsite' and app, £35 gift voucher for party supplies shop, £50 worth of hand painted signs, 1kg of heart shaped marshmallows :money:0 -
I just like the idea that getting money from a bank involves going to the bank and filling out "loads of forms". Erm, no, usually you just get asked questions and THEY fill the forms in. Or you do it online and you fill in a form that's probably about as long as the one CashTw*t gets you to fill in.urs sinserly,
