restricted view dreadful night at theatre

I am appalled and angry, me and my fiancee had row B stall seats in a very nice theatre and sat down to enjoy the show and one latecomer was shown in by torchlight in front, and when he sat down OMG my view was blocked a man who can only be described as the incredible bulk , and he was as tall as he was wide, and not only that, he had a baldy head and a big grey ponytail tie at the base of what was left of his hair like a biker but it swished like a horses tale every time he moved .The show was a comedy and when he laughed uproariously I got smacked by his hair and I seen nothing of the show. I wonder why he got a ROW A seat and is there any way you can be refunded if you had a blocked view by an obese person?? obv he had a great sense of humour but I lost mine.

Although he might be able to do something about his weight, I doubt of he can do anything about his height! My son is 13 and is already 5'11" tall. He has had a height prediction from a paediatricianastheschool nurse in primary school was so concerned about him being so tall. His adult height is likely to be about 6'8", possibly slightly more.

As for the chap in front of you, he is entitled to book a Row A seat if he wants to, and can wear his hair however he likes. I appreciate that it may have disturbed you, but I don't think there is anything you can do.

Always free to go to FOH and ask to move to seats that are free. I have had to do it a couple of times when similar things have happened. All theatres have access to a list of empty seats and also most keep back a few house seats which they can release if they feel your complaint is founded. Just one of those things really hun. If you have an issue with it does as I do, book front row of stalls or circle or in some theatres slips and boxes. If I can not get them then I ask the theatre about isle seats which over hang. I might have slight restricted views but I also dislike heads in my way. Also you may think me odd but sit further back! the rake at the front of the stalls is always less than further back. The FOH can tell you where their best area is in their own theatre but generally the front of the stalls is not the best place.
