tomato sauce removal?

I have a nasty stain on a table cover , tomato sauce, I think it was probably Dolmio /bolognaise as there are little herby bits inside the middle and what looks like a fleck of parsley like someone had garnish. Just wonder what the best removal is as just tried my nail varnish remover but seems to be making it worse. The fabric is sort of linen. It is white and I wonder if Tippex could be a better way to hide the stain? It is like 50p size.

Pre-treat with stain remover (I prefer Ecover), wash at a high temperature and then hang it out in the sunshine. Worked a treat on my white/light babygros whenever DD got tomato based sauces down them :)

Try putting fairy liquid on it, give it a good rub and let it soak, then wash as normal

I second fairy liquid directly on the stain, leave for a few hours, then wash as normal. It gets most stains out.

If all else fails and it is white, you could always try bleach!!!! Use a paint brush to apply it directly to stain either neat or dilute, then wash as normal!!!

Sunlight definitely, or daylight if no sun available.;) I usually splash extra water on the tomato stain after washing and leave on the line for the day - it works wonders!

I usually use the oxy stain stuff you get in the tubs, followed by hang it on the washing line in the sun and pray.

I've ruined soooo many white tops with spaghetti sauce hitting cleavage incidents.
