Not quite sure what you're asking, but.....
The Lender will be interested in getting their money back, so if you're selling, yes, the completion date is of interest to them.
Your solicitor will ask you if there is a mortgage to be redeemed when you sell. They will then usually manage the process for you as part of their conveyancing process.0
