Hi,
my garage roof needs sorted before another winter.
It seems I have 3'' profile asbestos type sheets on it, (built about 1994), my plan was to resheet it.
I thought about Onduline or Coroline, but the profile is wrong.
Wondering if this stuff would do, profile seems right, even though it's clear. would be ok on top of existing sheets.
It seems to last ok for car ports, but would it crack after a couple of years on a garage roof?
Any other suggestions welcome, but not bitumen, as I've done it a couple of times.
Thanks, for now.

How could it possibly be any different if fitted to a car port as opposed to a garage roof. If you are going to reroof the whole thing then the fact that the profiles are not exactly the same is unimportant.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
I think that trying to sheet over an asbestos roof is a mistake.
Remove it with care and replace not cover.
Just a thought, if it was built in 1994, it wouldn't have cement asbestos roof sheets on it.

Hi,
thanks for reply and link.
The reason I don't think it is asbestos is because don't think it was used 1994.0 -
Its very unlikely to be asbestos if it was built in 1994. Take a sample and get it tested first. If it does turn out to be asbestos then i would get it removed before replacing the roof. Much cleaner finish and will not cause problems going forward. If its not asbestos i have seen overclad before which has worked but does not always look very neat.0
