I can't seem to be heard very well over VoIP applications - I've checked the volume setting on the taskbar and the microphone volume is set to high, but even with the VoIP application volume on maximum I struggle to be heard - is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot?

Do you have a "Microphone Boost" tick box in your recording settings advanced controls?
