Survey some points of concern

hi all

Had survey back and highlighted 4 areas, we are aware of number 3. Unclear on the gable wall situation and what it might entail. Also how do you go about check connection to the mains sewers? Any advice appreciated.

four main areas of concern regarding future maintenance.

• The dampness in the home
• The requirement for structural bonding of the right gable wall
• The improvement in thermal insulation and heating
• The rear drainage, which requires flushing and also confirmation of connection to the mains sewers

D3 Summary of repairs

The areas requiring Further Investigation before purchase are:
• The sewer connection should be conformed
• The quotations for the damp proof course and wood boring insect treatments
• The quotations for the restraint of the right gable wall before the rebuilding option

The areas where Specific Quotations should be obtained before purchase to ensure that all cost liabilities are known are:
• The treatment of the right gable wall stone.
• The modernisation of the windows to suit the conservation officer requirements
• The services and re-commissioning the services

The areas where normal maintenance costs for the type and age of the home will need to be considered in the future are:
• The overhaul of the roof if retained
• The clearing and maintenance of the gutters (particular care is required with the rear gutters).
• The flushing of the drains to the rear
