What else would they do? Erm nothing like they have done for the last 2 years!! We just go back to signing on etc
You're not getting this, the whole idea is to make it look like the government is doing something about unemployment.
The whole point of the work program or the FND or the New deal etc etc etc is so that the PM can stand at the despatch box and say he is doing something about all these dreadful unemployed people. And the harsher and more unpleasant the schemes are the better it sounds in the Daily Mail.0 -

They will just say we do not want to work hence not having a job now.
If they were doing something about it they would make it illegal to turn you down just for being

or
2- unemployedWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Claims are linked, for six months, if you sign back on before six months, they link your claim to your old one, and any crap they had on you, like sanctions and courses will have to be served. with the work program it's two years, which is unusual. She knew I was coming to the end of the work programs two years.
No it don't! 11.50 hours work at NMW does as its the same as my JSA so I'd sign off
I have no idea what this 6 mths is you talk about.
You may be earning more than you would get in JSA but it would not be enough to be paying NI, so would need to 'sign on' to receive NI credits towards your state pension ( and possibley future contribution based benefits).0 -

I am not bothered about NI as there will be no pension when I retire and still you can claim income based JSA which is what I am on now so there is no difference.
NI paid by the DWP as far as I know is not part of contribution based jsa.
Id sign off for 11.5 hours work like I saidWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
