Deleting personal data from tablet before sale

Hi all
My husband is selling his archos tablet but we don't know how to delete all the data from it. For example, when you hit the "mail" button, it automatically shows his email address at the top. Also, if you click on the "app" store, would someone be able to download apps? Sorry if these are silly questions but we are not very techie minded
