RSA Refusal to quote: Does this need to be declared?

Hoping someone can shed a little more light on this please, and give a second opinion.
My home insurance is due for renewal, and this year I've been looking into moving companies.
Today, I went into my mortgage provider, to ask which documents they'd require on changing insurance provider, and to ask them for a quote.
They deal solely with RSA, and after going through the process, it came back with a refusal to quote due to a 'high level of subsidence risk'
Do I now need to declare this on any future quotes? The advisor said not, as this was a commercial decision based upon the area, but further advised that in her opinion I shouldn't be looking at changing insurance provider full-stop.
The most likely option if I change (Santander) states this in the claims and other section:
If it changes things at all, this quote was taken out before I spoke to the building society adviser.
Cheers

I read this as a statement about *myself* only, as the statements about the house (Subsidence, cracking etc) are on a separate buildings assumptions page.Has anyone living in the property had home insurance refused, cancelled or had any special terms or conditions imposed by an insurance company in the last 5 years?
If it changes things at all, this quote was taken out before I spoke to the building society adviser.
Cheers
