Epson C44 Printer

I have had this Epson Printer for over a year now. It is not a brilliant printer but it has proved adequate.

This weekend however all it seems to want to do is make the appearnace of printing but nothing is printed. It certainly goes through all the noises, probably even louder than usual and that is saying something.

My son done the test on it and it did not work either.

Any advice is gratefully received.

Certainly sounds like ink.

Check that there is some.
Check that it's 'clicked' in properly
Check that you have not left a sticky label over the airhole etc
Go into your 'utilities' and give it a cleaning

If you are using compatible cartridges they sometimes run dry before the printer driver thinks the should. I had this happen all the time with an old Stylus 880 and cartridges from the Cartridge Club. If everything looks alright mechanically then replace the ink tanks and see if that works. If not, then it's time to see the light and get a Canon
