How long? Current a/c to CC

in Credit cards
Hi all. I transferred a sum of money from my current account into a credit card account (same bank, if it matters) this weekend and it hasn't appeared on my credit card balance yet. For some reason, I thought this normally happened right away. It's come out of the current account though - now I'd like to be sure of where it's gone.
How long should you give it to appear on the credit card (online) statement? I'm a just slightly concerned as the numbers seem to be different from last time I paid the credit card - even though I selected it from a list of bills on my online banking and it was the only one relating to that credit card account. Obviously bank holiday may be a factor, but I just want to be sure.
thanks everyone!

With my bank, generally paying off my credit card shows as paid on my credit card account the next working day, but the available credit usually shows pretty much immediately. As you said, it was a Bank Holiday yesterday, so your payment may have been slightly delayed. I'd call the bank tomorrow if it still isn't showing.0

Your avaiable balance should update in under 2 hours or at worst overnight.
Remember ALL these payments go via Faster Payments now.
So check that 1st and see if it tallies to a payment being made.
But the payment may not show as a credit till the credit card accounts update. Which is usualy the end of the next working day.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

OP says it's the same bank so it'll be an internal transfer rather than FPS. Probably doesn't make a lot of difference to the ultimate timescale though.0
