I don't have it in for you at all, far from it, others were a bit sceptical about your posts, i on the other hand didnt see the resemblance and was sat on the fence so to speak, in fact I still am on the fence although the posts ointed out by " Homes " does look a bit suss but that doesn't mean I agree with what Dave Ham has said.

    I see your perspective.

Anyway, I have gone ahead and cleared over £500 worth of debt hanging over on all my cards.

    I have credit limits of
    £2400
    200
    300
    500
    800

So 4200 - 5 Credit cards, three mobile phone contracts at the age of 19, jheeze i think an underwriter eye balls would pop out. Then again I haven't missed any payments and nothing negative other than searches, so credit due.

Planning on getting rid of 2 next year anyway, never a good idea to close down credit accounts when it hasn't been active for 12 - 18 months.

Experian report hasn't really updated properly yet so credit usage is at 24% but should reduce low tens, once it updates.

No reason to have 5 credit cards or even 3 mobile phone contracts, a bit OTT is it not ?

Your right which is why I am planning on closing Down two credit card accounts and one phone account as of April of next year. It's good to have accounts opened for at least 12 - 18 months

So I phoned the mortgage broker today and they said that the systems update on the 15th (wensday) but it's best to leave it until thursday or even friday of next week before trying again.

Also, the good thing about it is another search doesn't have to be done, they can just simply edit the application. They said they looked at my credit file and there say they don't seem why I won't get accepted, so fingers cross.

The default has been removed and this was the main issue.
