Rant - Bank Of Scotland

This is my first rant, I can't wait to get it off my chest :rotfl:
Bank of Scotland and Halifax merged a few years back, everything in my branch changed to HBOS and if you applied for a new account, you could only get Halifax products. So recently I wanted to get the Halifax children's regular saver account. Oh no, you can't apply online you have to go to the branch. My local BoS branch don't sell Halifax products anymore and to open any savings account you have to make an appointment for a savings advisor.
I don't want to have to make an appointment to open a new savings account with my bank that holds all my money - savings, ISA's, current account, joint account, kids accounts.... They know who I am and how much money I have. The purpose of this is to sell me additional rubbish I don't want. Furthermore, I find it difficult enough making a dr's appointment, I want to walk into my local branch and do my banking, not make an appointment. Surely being such a large branch they could have a couple of advisors without appointments to see customers as they come in. Grrrrr :rotfl:
Sorry, rant over
Thanks for reading/ignoring - I don't require a response!

You know what else is rubbish about Halifax... if you have a credit card from them, and you want to pay it off online, you cant , you have to set up a DD or phone them....whats the point of having a Halifax online credit card account if you cant pay it!!!!.
Stupid.0 -
Don't open a children's regular saver with them. You can't view the account online.
You used to be able to, then for reasons unknown they removed the facility, so they no longer show up in your online accounts.0 -
Thanks ThumbRemote. I really want to leave BoS but they do have the best children's savings accounts. Most of my other banking is with Santander now - oh, after BoS annoyed me so much last year and Santander was the first bank I came to!0
