Hello, does anyone know where to get cheap netting from, pound land and wilko stuff isn't great, I've been looking online but its all pretty expensive, is it best to fork out on some good stuff? I need it to cover raised beds which are about 1m by 3m but I need to cane it up so its going to need to be bigger. New at all this so thanks for any help!

I honestly don't know if they are cheap but I tend to use a mob called Gardening Naturally. They have an excellent range and haven't let me down yet. They don't just do netting and fleece but a range of useful pegs and so on.
In case it's of some use the website is www.gardening-naturally.com
That said, eBay may be cheaper if price is your main criterion.0 -
I'll endorse what A.Badger says. Gardening Naturally is a local company to us and I've bought their netting too after buying rubbish from ebay that only lasts one year. Good price and excellent quality.0

I have spent so much on rubbish netting previous that I ended up buying a 50m roll of scaffolding netting for about £25 delivered and its great stuff! You could go halves with someone maybe?0

I buy the pond netting. Its meant to be laid over ponds to stop leaves and such like falling into the water. You can buy it from Wilkinsons and the like.
It is a little bit more expensive than the green version but it is better. I wouldn't bother with £land netting, some things are false economy0 -
i'm a fan of scaffold debris netting too - but i won't buy it - that's just not mse
whenever i see scaffolding up - with netting - i just ask the guys on site if i can have the netting when the jobs finished - i now have plenty enough netting to keep my plot coveredsaving money by growing my own - much of which gets drunk
made loads last year :beer:0 -
If you want to be REALLY MSE ask your local greengrocer or market trader for any empty veg sacks - the net ones like they use for carrots & sprouts, etc. usually orange, white, or green.
One opened up could cover a small raised bed or you could tack several together.0 -
My allotment association sell 4sq meters for £1.20 good quality stuff too.0
