Car insurance - buying a car

Hi
We are buying a car this week and haven't managed to sell our old car yet. We will obviously be changing over insurance on the day we collect, what happens with the old car, it is uninsured waiting to be sold, we don't have a drive to keep it on? Is this legal?
Thanks

Ask your insurers to continue cover on your old one until you sell it. Continuous Insurance Enforcement means that a car has to be insured unless declared SORN.

You will either need to add the car on as a Temporary Additional Vehicle, buy short term insurance or take out an annual policy and cancel it remembering that NCD can only be used on one policy at a time.

The first two options are likely to be the cheapest options

What on earth is this supposed to mean?
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

Probably a spammer trying to get a decent post count with nonsense posts.

Thanks. Will probably take to parents drive as temporary insurance is very expensive for the price of the car.

OK, but unless you SORN the vehicle, you will still be committing an Continuous Insurance offence.
