First Choice Holiday Village - Kids Club

We're off on holiday shortly to a First Choice Holiday Village - specifically designed for families by all accounts.

We've never been on this type of holiday before. How do the kids clubs actually work? Our kids are 3 and 5, so will be in the "Little Stars" club. Do you drop them off at 8am and pick them up at 7pm, or is it an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon and we need to be in attendance?

Cheers

  • Generally i have just let mine go for a couple of hours when she fancied it, no way would I leave them there for 11 hours! Work on a fewvhours a day around your plans.

Neither would we, but we'd like to know what's actually available and the info provided by First Choice is very non specific.

Have you been the one of the Holiday Villages, in which case what hours do they run? Thanks.
  • I think it varies by hotel, which one are you going to?

Kos - which only became a holiday village this year, which has made getting info a bit more difficult.

We went to Cyprus in April. They had a board up with all the weeks sessions on it and you just turned up at the start time to sign them in and collected at the end time, you had to say where you would be for te session Incase they needed you (ie pool, room, bar).

Each session was a different theme ie fencing, football, animals, puppets, stories etc.
They lasted an hour and a half... Wen we were there they Ran 10-1130, 12-130,230-4, 430-6 and then usually something on the evening too. Mine just went to the things they were interested in.
Some are mixed clubs age 3-8 too, and there were a few you could pay to do...a birthday party and. Chocolate party.

I don't know if its different in the summer hols or in term time (ours was the Easter hol) but we never had to queue and no problems with spaces. Except the chocolate party got full quick!

We thought they were well run and a real bonus on holiday having never done it. Kids had a blast and we managed a few meals without them and relaxing time too :)

They also had family events and games on which ours liked to check on the list before deciding whether to go to club or not!
They generally did 1 or 2 in a day...though my 6 year old manged 3 one day!

Brilliant, that's exactly what I was after, it's just a shame First Chioce weren't able to provide such information.

It's good to know they can just come and go. Such a system sounds perfect. Looks like I might actually get the chance to read a book whilst on holiday. :D

The kids clubs are not normally drop off places at high season - you have to book them upon arrival. It really will depend on how busy they are during your stay.

We're going in May for 2 weeks, so hopefully not too bad. Although it is the Half Term holiday for the kids.

I read two books on our holiday! First time since I've had kids! And had lunch without them a couple of times too! Actually felt quite relaxed! Have a lovely time
