Quick query on satisfying CCJs

Hi, as title suggests, just looking for info on how to have CCJs marked as satisfied on credit files? I'm aware this has probably been asked before, but a quick search didn't fully answer my query.
I understand it involves approaching the county court themselves (prior to updating individual CRAs? - or is that done for you?). In these two cases, it's not Northampton, it's two separate local CCs.
I emailed one of the courts 2 weeks ago to ask about the procedure, but they didn't even reply.
For both CCJs, the amounts have been fully repaid (significantly outside the initial one month period!), and proof of repayment is in hand for both.
Do you go to the CC in person? Or can it be done in writing? Is there a fee?
It's part of the wider picture of dealing with another person's debt.
Many thanks.

That's exactly what I was reading the other day.
Was wondering about this:
If you've paid the CCJ in full, however, you can apply to have it shown as satisfied by showing the court your receipt.
Can this be done in writing? As I said, the court is being unresponsive. Guess I can try ringing them, but don't see why a simple email query went unanswered...
Also wondering about fees - no fee is mentioned for just satisfying, only for obtaining certificate (not interested) - so, no fees for satisfaction itself?
And finally:
From 6th April 2006 when the court are provided with evidence that a judgment debt has been paid in full, that court should notify us to amend the register and the register will show the entry as "satisfied". This will show anyone searching the register that you have paid, and when you did so.
Does this automatically extend to CRAs? Or need they be informed individually of satisfaction? Hope that makes sense0 -
The should be able to do it via writing, and there should in theory not be a fee if you don't want the certificate.
Yes, the CRAs will be updated from the register automatically.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

If your local courts are anything like mine, they're massively understaffed at the moment so that might explain the two week delay. You'd be better off ringing them. What will your verse be?
