Caught Out By A Bank Again!

I was happy with my Best Price Car Insurance Quote from Lloyds TSB through MoneySupermarket.com of £137.73 valid until 22-5-13.
Receiving my lease car registration and delivery date I returned to Lloyds website to accept my quote. After entering card details and whilst confirming email and phone my quote changed in the background to £140.64! I tried 3 times to retrieve the original quote without success.
Over 30 minutes on the phone to Lloyds TSB would not get them to honour the original quote even though the quote number was the same and a screen dump to prove was sent. They blamed me for changing the quote (I entered the car registration), MoneySupermarket and the underwriters for the last second change.
Hey, I know it’s only a few quid but would I be happy if Tesco added a few quid to my bill while I was busy entering my pin number at the checkout? Gotta keep your wits about you with these pesky banks.....a leopard doesn’t change its spots!

It could be moneysupermarket, admiral this happens to alsoDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Begs the question 'What does valid until 22-5-13 actually mean' in the strange and wonderful world of Moneysupermarket?
Valid until you accept the quote!0 -
stick a formal complaint in, you'll likely get a generic insincere apology plus a refund for the couple of quid0

Are you sure they'll cover a lease car?Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

When insurers say that a quote is valid for x amount of days then it means that you have made no changes to the original info.
So when you entered car reg info you changed the quote.
Would they not just honour the original quote for the sake of £3?
If it's the best quote you have found by a margin then go with it.0
