Hi,
I have a flat roof between my garage and house covering a small porch area. Its about 4ft wide but 12ft long.
It has started to leak. Originally there was felt and about 5/6 years ago I covered in rubber roof paint, then chippings. Been fine til last year. Seemed to have a long crack where the roof meets the corregated garage roof.
Whats best here? Cover the problem area with felt? Just repaint over with the rubber coating again? Any recommended products? Dont really want to pull up all the roof in dont have too as Im no roofer.
Cheers for any suggestions.

I'm about to do my garage with this stuff...
http://www.rubba-seal.co.uk/
A neighbour did his last year with it and it looks good & was easy to fit.
I have no connection with the company at all and there are other companies offering the same stuff.0 -
I recommend EPDM too.
I did a 10 x 8 apex roofed shed with it two years ago. It cost me about £80 for the rubber sheet, adhesive and delivery.
It was a very easy DIY job to install and your flat roof will be even easier.
EPDM will outlast most other options and is far more cost effective than felt and cheaper alternatives in the long run.
You will need to establish how much surface preparation you need to do.0 -
EPDM is the way to go, :T, but there is a cheap escape for a small problem like this.
All you need to do is get hold of enough fibre glass CSM, (chopped straw mat), to cover the leaking area twice over, about a £5 at a quick guess.
Use a bog standard rubberoid or similar repair compound.
sealant/csm/sealant/csm/sealant sandwich with grit/chipping on top.
Will hold it at bay until a permanent, or semi permanent in the case of flat roofs, solution can be afforded;);)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
