Google Checkout Questions

Options
Hi,

i was thinking about signing up with Google check out,but my wife seems to think that there is some kind of catch to to it:-) shes not too sure about it.

Please can you tell me if you have used this and how easy you found it to use
It does seem like a good idea to me. Is it similar to a referral site?

Many Thanks

Lee

Used, easy to use, no catches.

It is an intro thing, funded by Google, deemed to end 11th June.

    Not a referral thing.;)

Easy to use, just like Paypal (without the disadvantages!!)

I got 8 1GB SD cards from Ebuyer for just over £32 all inclusive, so not complaining!

    Seems absolutely fine to me.

The £10 off is just an introductory offer to get people to recognise google checkout and get people signing up and using it rather than Paypal.

Great idea really, its not like google don't have the cash!

It's OK, but the only time I used it I found that I never got an invoice.

I signed up to Google checkout as I wanted to see how seamless it really was in comparison to Paypal.

I have to say I found the system a lot better than Paypal and not as glitchy. Google have seen the faults of the PayPal system and have weeded them out.

You can easily send an invoice to someone as well as paying for products in a number of online stores. The checkout system is all part of the bigger picture. Google want as much intelligence about our search/spend habits to better the search results they provide.

As far as I am aware the system is free until the end of 2007 when a commission structure will commence.

I have had a problem with a Google Checkout order purchased with Ebuyer. When a purchase is made through Google Checkout it's not entered into your usual Ebuyer account.

One of my items was delivered damaged therefore it's not very straight forward to create an Ebuyer RMA return!

This is an Ebuyer problem, so other companies may have a better system?
