Cheapest Tile store

Options
Hi all

I'm hoping I can tap into your collective expertise. I need to re-tile my bathroom and I'm looking to get some decent but cheap tiles. Where is the best place to look? - I can go direct to a store or use a website ( ideally I'd like to see the tiles first hand).

I was thinking there is a store which is the same as screwfix is to Wickes.

Thanks
C

screwfix is owed by B&Q (sorry i didn't make it clear both are owed by the kingfisher group) [STRIKE]as is bathstore[/STRIKE]
try some of the tile shops topps etc but to be honest if you just want cheap tiles B&Q is as good as any
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

Southcoast is right...the DIY sheds are normally the cheapest places to go. Not a huge range, but cheap on what they do have.

Failing that, try your local independent, use Topps as a last resort.

The real saving will be to find something on offer at 1 of the outlets, end of line or similar.

B&Q although not renowned for the quality of their tiles, do have some very good prices at times.

It's when you buy that will dictate your saving;);)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

If you know exactly how many tiles you need then any time you see an end of range were you can get enough tiles with a few extra for replacements is a good time.

Different tile shed branches I.e. Topps are always getting rid of stock in their stock rooms. So you can go to one branch and they will be getting rid of tiles cheap but another branch won't have them.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)

So what would the maths be on a requirement for 10m^2 of tiles?

    Cheers

I think Bank holidays are a good time so it might be worth waiting until the end of May? My neighbour's bathroom had a leak and has caused major damage in my bathroom and kitchen so I'm on the look out for tiles too.
I think I'll spend the next couple of weeks choosing which ones I like at each retailer and then go for whoever has the best deal.

I've been on the tile hunt and found far more variety at Topps tiles than B & Q, Homebase etc - they also have the cheapest 10 x 10 tiles I could find - I'd never been in there before and was pleasantly surprised.

In my local branch there was also lots of deals on ends of ranges and small amounts, worth a trip in rather than just looking online.
