Leaking kitchen sink and washing machine waste

it's not easy, the top pipe needs cutting to the right of the coupler, the bottom pipe needs cutting to the left of the socket, but the hardest bit is cutting the pipe in the wall to remove the elbow, then it just needs replacing with new fittings just the way it is now but with the tee fitted the right way round, at the mo whatever comes from the top pipe goes up the pipe towards the washing machine rather than to the drain this will cause it to block with whatever goes down the sink & this is maybe why your pipe behind the machine started leakingI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
I think you're right about the cause of the blockage, must have all collected in the U-bend.
I don't think I'll mess with the pipes, particularly the elbow as the last guys had a devil of a job fixing that.
We'll be mindful of putting stuff down the sink in the future and de-block when necessary.
Thanks for clarifying it for me!0 -
Use something mechanicial to clear any blockage (like a drain snake, about £6 at the sheds). Much better than any chemical. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
