PlusBus for Gatwick Airport. Do I need it?

I'm in the process of booking train tickets to get me to Gatwick Airport from St Pancras. I'm getting an option for purchasing PlusBus ticket but am not sure if I'll need it.

Does anyone know where the trains arrive at Gatwick? I need to get to Premier Inn at North Terminal and will be flying out of South Terminal the following day. Would I need PlusBus ticket to get me from one to another?

The trains arrive at South terminal

There's free transit between the two terminals

The Premier Inn is opposite the entrance to North terminal

So no plus bus ticket needed

But do make sure you have the right Premier Inn - there are several in the Gatwick area.

You might find cheaper advance train tickets booking through from your local station to Gatwick - those you are seeing from St Pancras will be the same price on the day
  • The trains arrive inside the south terminal. There is a free monorail to north terminal, where you walk straight out of the door and see the premier inn, massive square grey building, really can't miss it.

In the morning, you fall out of premier inn, straight into north terminal, follow signs to south terminal. 2 minutes later you're there, all clearly signposted, really easy to do.
