JBL Soundbar Surround Sound issue

HI All,
I wondered whether anyone was experiencing the same issue we have with our JBL Soundbar? We bought one last year and had a "tinny" sound manifest itself when in the surround sound mode. The only way to resolve the issue was to switch to stereo and then back again to surround sound.
We got in touch with JBL and were told we had to go through the retailer. We were then requested to purchase a backdated guarantee which we did. The device was then sent to JBL by the retailer. After a few months we have received the soundbar as repaired. However this doesn't seem to be the case as we still have the "tinny" sound manifesting itself in surround sound mode after variable time intervals. It is very much a random occurrence but it is guaranteed to occur at some time in its daily use.
I have contacted the retailer again to report the issue yet again. At £300 am I unreasonable to expect to have a device which does not have this issue _pale_? Has anyone had the same sort of issue with this product (SB300 CNTR)?
