ANPR grrrrr

I went to the match yesterday (Sunday) and normally park on a road in Salford which you can park on all day Sundays but there were no spaces so I parked in a car park off the road outside a building which is currently unoccupied, as did a lot of other people. Got back to the car and there is a ticket stating that I "was not parked in a designated space". I took photos as I was obviously in a designated space. Do you think I can appeal this ticket?

I think you need to post details of who owns the car park, and what kind of parking 'fine' this is.

The ticket is from a company called ANPR Ltd Preston. The car park is on like an industrial estate just by Salford Quays. Everyone parks there on match days as all the units are unoccupied on Sundays. I don't know who owns the car park as there are various industrial units around. The ticket states I am not parked in a designated space but I was within the lines and I have photos to prove it. I am !!!!ed off beyond belief. This !!!!!! ticketed everyone there. Probably a City fan lol

Awwww lovely you have an invoice from our Trev, a long winded boring chap who was trying to sue the government for millions. Trevor Whitehouse owns this so called company and a lot of fun can be had here ;)

    Still you have 3 choices

    1) pay the idiot
    2) appeal to the idiot and when rejected go to popla
    3) ignore the idiot

Don't recommend the first obviously, the second is a real option that could be done, going to https://www.popla.org.uk when they reject the challenge with our help. Third option is good as well as said idiot doesn't do the small claims.

This is going to be a very expense time for Trev. His signs state that every time a motorist breaks his "rules", then he (Trev) has to pay the landowner £100. He tries to claim that money back off the motorist, but as he offers a 50% discount for early payment, then he's still down £50 on each transaction.

And if I was a landowner foolish enough to enter into a contract with Trev, I would expect to see that £100 within 28 days with a full-breakdown of tickets issued.

But the chances of Trev paying the landowner £100 per ticket issued is about the same chance of him taking you to court and winning, zero.

Yep - either ignore (and don't panic about the computerised debt collector letters) or appeal properly but only once you get the Notice to Keeper (with forum help re the appeal wording).

Certainly no-one actually PAYS these fake PCNs once they have checked on a forum; these are a scam and are not fines. ANPR Ltd are well known ex-clampers called National Clamps (Trevor Whitehouse is the 'Trev' that posters are referring to!). Why not read a few threads about them - ANPR Ltd, not National Clamps as they no longer exist now that private clamping is illegal. Or Google Trevor's name! :p

Whether you are happy to appeal or to ignore - please WAIT for the Notice to Keeper. Do nothing yet.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Total damages suffered by the landowner - zero.

This is when the landowner could earn some extra money on match-days by "renting" out the car-park for a nominal fee (similar to some of the businesses around Wembley stadium [come on Brighton!] do on match-days.

Send him a letter thanking him for his begging letter as when you had severe attack of of the sh**s and realising you had run out of bogg paper his invoice saved the day.p:money:
PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue.
