Question for anyone that's ordered from Dell...

I received my computer today, all the right bits of hardware and software present and correct, but I don't seem to be able to find anything about the warranty, or an invoice for the purchase...
Should there be some kind of invoice inside which says exactly what I ordered, or do they just do it all via email? Also, I opted for the collect and return 1-year warranty service... Should the info about this be enclosed with the goods also?
Thanks for any help!!

It's 18 months since I bought my Dell pc, If I remember correctly I received confirmation and spec details by email on ordering the pc, after delivery I also received a letter from Dell with further information. I can't remember the details though.0

have you looked on the outside of the box for one of the plastic sealed envelopes that are sometimes used for the invoice?
otherwise call Dell, quote the PC's service tag and ask for the invoice by email and hard copy.0 -
I would expect a full VAT invoice to be sent by post, probably arrives separately.0

I received an order from Dell today and there was no invoice included. Hope one comes seperatly. Out of interest, did you order a pc? There is so much c**p installed its a joke. Its running quite slowly as well, my techie bf is coming round later to sort it out. And while I'm on a rant, stupid Vista won't run iTunes or 4oD. In fact, the only thing I've done so far is come on here! There is info about the warranty in the 'Product Information Guide'.Quit smoking 12th July 07 :j0

EDIT: yep, I bought a desktop. Everything's running fine for me, it's really quick - the only annoying thing is a google search box that I can't seem to get rid of). But then my old comp was absolutely crap so I'm probably not the best person to ask! Oh, and I got mine with XP not Vista so maybe that's the difference?!
And thanks for pointing me in the direction of the warranty info - I only glanced at the front of all the booklets =/0 -

Got Vista and itunes running as smooth as a babys backside
Are you downloading the latest version from https://www.Apple.com ?
I agree that dell install aload of crap on the pc.
Just go straight to add/remove in control panel and remove anything that you are not going to use. Its the first thing I do when I get a pc.0 -
I'm in the process of removing stuff now, but its been about 1/2 hr and its only half way through uninstalling Corel Paint Shop Pro. Is this normal? It really winds me up that they give you all this rubbish. I don't want to pay for McAfee when I can use AVG for free, I don't want Tiscali or Orange broadband, Corel whatever, Roxio whatever thank you very much. And if I did it would be because I researched it and decided it was good value for money, not because it happened to come on my notebook. Grrr.
Millionaire, went on Apple's website and they said there are kinks in iTunes 7 with Vista that 7.1.1 will rectify in part but not in whole, and they are in discussions with Microsoft. One of these was when it says it is safe to eject the iPod it isn't and can corrupt the iPod? Didn't know what to do so just left it. Will download if you are running it ok.Quit smoking 12th July 07 :j0 -

No Paint Shop Pro should uninstall in a few minutes at most. Right click your taskbar at the bottom and select "task manager" then
applications and see if it still says "running" and not "not responding". It might of crashes/froze. If it has you may need to end task and start it again.
In regards to the software I think Dell just install it from a image and everyone gets the same stuff even if you dont select the options for the garbage they install. just for quick installation for them.Millionaire, went on Apple's website and they said there are kinks in iTunes 7 with Vista that 7.1.1 will rectify in part but not in whole, and they are in discussions with Microsoft. The previous versions for itunes didnt work that well. itunes 7.1.1 is working fine apart from the ipod hitch. just make sure you remove the ipod via itunes and not use the windows remove option which pops up in the taskbar. Then it should work fine. I havent had any problems with version 7.1.1 on vista0 -
If you go to dell.co.uk then support, and put in your pc code it will tell you the length and type of guarantee you have
