Hi, clean them with a well rung mop or if you want to spend money, laminate cleaner/wipes. Enjoy laying them...... I laid some for a customer on Sunday and although ok,IMO, have seen better 'click' tiles!
  • Have used laminate cleaners and they are fine. A Swiffer with the large floor cleaning wipes also gives good results for least effort. For the cheapest and best finish I recommend warm soapy water (use small amount of washing up liquid diluted in water) and a soft cloth - ensure that the the cloth is always well rung and use a little elbow grease!

As long as the laminate is sealed Dettol has introduced a new floorcleaner and it is brill!! as you squirt it neat from the bottle onto the floor then wipe it down with a damp mop or cloth depending on the size of the area in question. No sticky residue either. By the way the new pope has just been selected as I type this.......cardinal joseph ratzinger

We have tile-effect laminate in our kitchen too. I just wash mine with a mop and a splodge of Flash in warm water, just like I did my old lino floor. As a previous poster said though it is important not to drown the floor - as long as the mop is not dripping you will be okay.

The tile laminates (as opposed to most of the wood laminates) tend to be heavier duty in any case, mostly being designed for kitchens and bathrooms, so they can take a bit more water than a 'normal' laminate.

    Thanks everyone

The tiles were laid today and look great - really updates the kitchen. Just got the edging strips to do.
